Read Me a Story, Stella as shortlisted for the Ruth and Sylvia Schwartz Children’s Book Award!
From the award's website:
The Ruth Schwartz Children’s Book Awards were established in 1976 by Sylvia Schwartz to honour the memory of her sister, Ruth, a prominent bookseller in Toronto. The first award was given to Mordecai Richler for Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang. In 2004, their family renamed the awards to honour both sisters.
Two awards are presented annually, one for picture books and the other for young adult/middle readers. The winners are nominated by a three person awards committee comprised of a bookseller, a librarian and a children’s book reviewer. The winners are selected by juries of young readers from an Ontario public school.

I am often asked if I sell my original drawings. As a matter of fact I don't, because they are fragile and sensitive to light, which is why I have donated most of my original artwork to the Library and Archives Canada in Ottawa and The Osborne Collection of Early Children's books at the Toronto Public Library. Also, this means that my archives are available for viewing by anyone interested or passionate about picture book art.
However, now I have decided to offer signed and numbered high-quality prints of some of my art. You can take a look at the new store on this site.
All the original artwork of Caramba is displayed on the walls of the Buhler Gallery at the Saint Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg.
The exhibition titled: The Story Illustrated: Children's book illustrations celebrates the art of illustrating for children and will be on until the end of January2014
